American Red Cross

• Funding goes to assist families whose homes have burned.
• They assist with lodging, food, clothing…whatever the families’ needs are.
• They also assist in natural disasters.

 
Avalon Center

• Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Program
• Provides housing, transportation, court support for victims of domestic violence
• Provides group counseling for victims

 
Kidney Foundation

• Funding for Rhea County residents who are on dialysis.
• Funding will assist with food, rent, electric bill, vehicle repair…or whatever the need is for the family.

 
Rhea County 4-H

• Funding is for scholarships for children unable to attend camp or conference due to finances.
• The amount provided is based on the family’s ability to pay…amount provided could be 50% or all 100%.

 
Rhea County Adult Literacy

• Assist adults in earning a high school equivalency diploma.
• Assists the Adult Education program.

 
Rhea Mental Health

• Funding for individuals who need a medication evaluation, counseling, or possibly cannot afford their medications.
• No medical insurance and not eligible for the Safety Net Program.

 
Rhea County Coordinated Veterans

• Funding provides free transportation for veterans to and from appointments in Murfreesboro, Nashville and Chattanooga.
• All drivers are volunteers.

 
Rhea Richland Senior Neighbors

• Provides seniors a place to meet and interact with others.
• Will provide transportation to and from the Center.
• A nurse provides blood pressure readings, glucose tests and other medical screenings.

 
The Care Center

• Funding goes toward the Edge Program which is a program in 6th thru 9th grade students.  They are in Rhea Middle, Dayton City School, Spring City Middle and Rhea High School - 9th grade.
• Edge Program discusses positive choices and the consequences of the choices they make.
• New Program – “You Turn”.  This program is for children who have made a poor choice and appears in Juvenile Court.  This program provides a mentor that will meet with the child 1x per week until the next court date.

 
In house programs are  Rhea County Imagination Library,  Dolly Parton Imagination Library  books are mailed out to all registered children 5 years and younger;  Stuff the Bus covers school supplies for all school age children living in Rhea County;  Teen Maze – targeting our 8th graders taking them thru a maze of  life’s tough choices and the consequences  of  these choices.   We so appreciate the Bryan students thru Outreach ministries for their participation each year.    AND we are serving as COVID funding support for individuals and families during these challenging times.
